Last Day of the Month – Let’s all clean our machines….

OK….. I am a little hesitant to talk about this one after the furore that I created last month, however I passionately believe in this, so, for those of you who don’t clean your machines daily, hourly, etc, lets all clean our machines today.

To make things easier, use the Precision Oil Pen.

I began stocking the Precision Oil Pen, after I “over oiled” my first multi needle machine (it tells you to oil it every time you turn it on, so I did!).  What I didn’t realise was that you should only use the tiniest drop of oil, not the huge glob that most oilers spit out.  This precision point oiler is refillable (unlike many others on the market), and comes filled with quality sewing machine oil.

Coming Soon – Tape Measure USB – 2GB

So happy to share with you all a new product that I am about to release, a new style of USB perfect for using with your embroidery machine, or for storing all of your stitching projects.

This USB is the first in a new series of USB’s perfect for stitchers.  Being 2GB, it is large enough to store plenty of information, but small enough to work perfectly with your embroidery machine.

Are you aware that no matter how many designs are on your USB stick, the machine will look through the entire stick just to make sure.  This means that if you are using a large stick >2GB, the time it will take for your designs to load will be much longer than normal.

I have created these USB sticks to have room on the front for those of you who like to write on your property, and the bright colours will make them easy to find, and will look great in your sewing room.

Wouldn’t these make a wonderful Mothers Day present!

Until next time, have a Stitchin’ day.  Julie

Multi Purpose Owl Keep It

I love an item that is multi purpose!

A few weeks ago I was visiting my Mother-In-Law in Melbourne, and was so chuffed to see that she was using the Owl Keep It Sewing Caddy that I had made for her.

I was even happier to see exactly how she was using it.

For the Lovely Jeannie, the sewing caddy has been made into a brooch caddy. Jeannie is a huge fan of brooches, and doesn’t the owl look fantastic on it.

Free Design

Today I would like to share with you a free design.

I have had an interesting week, after posting on Monday about clean your machine day, I received a lot of feedback on Facebook, with some people suggesting that my machine was “disgusting” and “neglected”, and at the worst “I hope you look after your children better than your machine” (this was privately posted so that the person who posted it wasn’t exposed to feedback from the general Facebook population)saywhatyoumean

So today I want to share a new free design for everyone.  This designs is suitable for the 5×7 (180x130mm) hoop, and would be perfect on a t-shirt, as a cushion, or framed on your wall.

You can download your free copy of this design HERE

I have been teaching my children this from the time they began talking, honestly is the best policy, however there is a difference between being honest and being hurtful.  So join me in sharing this post and design with all.

Until next time, have a Stitchin’ day.  Julie

Whats coming next

Good morning embroidery friends.

I am so excited about a new set that I am working on, that I would just like to give you all a quick preview.

This is going to be a sewing caddy, perfect for keeping in the lounge room for hand sewing needs.

Each segment is going to be created in the hoop, with then some simple stitching to pull it all together.

I cannot wait to bring you all of the samples and examples for this.

Until next time, have a stitchin’ day.  Julie
